Plato's is set in three acres of grounds and is surrounded by open countryside.

A significant feature of the nursery is the attractive setting, located in approximately three acres of grounds and surrounded by open countryside; the outdoors is used as much as possible. The children have access to a ‘green lane’ area, mini woodland, old orchard, and large open grassed spaces, including a grassed slope, for running and playing organised team games.

The main playroom leads directly on to a purpose-built, landscaped garden.  This safely enclosed outdoor play area provides ample opportunity for the children to develop their physical skills.  This includes a fully fenced paved area with steps leading on to the brick patio where the children can ride wheeled vehicles. There is a large sandpit containing 5 tonnes of play sand, a tap with running water for the children to use, a wooden playhouse, a small lawn and decking.  There is also a small ‘wildlife’ pond which is completely surrounded by four-sided fencing with access only through a gate which is kept padlocked.
